CAMPFIRE: NIGHTCLUB
A campfire and afrotribe inspired imaginary nightclub electrotecture.
This project explores physical architecture through the lens of digital space.
33 self-standing room tall cylinders lean and rotate 30 degrees to form the nightclub's campfire-like main structure. A set of large and small light-emitting rings with series of spotlights drop down from the ceiling and revolve outside the main construction. These two light rings interact with each other while interacting with the campfire. With the color-changing ceiling pannel and LED screens around the main structure's inner loop, they create rich lighting visual for people inside the club. The club is under the ground, and the top of the campfire structure levels with the ground floor entrance, where people are welcomed by the magnificent overlook view as soon as they enter the space. A 360-degree frosted glass wall creates a hallway that works as a secondary social space in the club. People can travel between the upper deck and lower floor through the two spiral stairs while having a hint of the party inside through the glass wall.
