In the Eye
In the Eye
A six-minute emotion-filled light and sound experience inspired by sandstorm.
This project is a collaboration with Daniel Rautenbach, Esther Zhang, Kevin Peter He. We composed an audio and choreographed lights that transformed a large dark empty room into a six-minute emotion-filled experience. Inspired by sandstorm, we illustrated the anticipation followed by the momentary silence before the storm, the madness with the fear of losing control during the storm, and the calm and peace after the storm.
EXPERIENCE
This is a self-guided experience, with an intentional distribution in the middle. Artists joined the crowded at the peak of the storm experience, encouraging audiences to move in space in the strobing lights to experience the slow motion visual effects.
CONTROL
8 Elation SIXPAR 300 DMX lights were hanged in 2*4 setup on the ceiling. Lighting design are programed and controlled by TouchDesigner through DMX controller.
